"Seeing In Waves" is a pale ale we made to celebrate Deaf Awareness Week. It's brewed with oats and hopped with Idaho 7, Azacca and some Ontario-grown Cascade from @hayhoehops. It's a creamy, delicious pale ale!

Milton is home to one of the largest Deaf communities in all of Canada because E.C. Drury School for the Deaf is here. This is something we've learned through our customers, a growing number of who are from the Deaf community.

The butterfly is a symbol for the Deaf because it communicates through vibration. The name and label are a nod to the way the Deaf community communicates -- with their eyes and hands.

We wanted to make the beer to help raise awareness but also as a launching pad for us as a company to work towards making our brewery as welcoming and inclusive as we can. We've been working to update our in-person ordering to provide visual menus, we're improving signage whenever we can and we have starting doing beer-specific ASL training for our retail and taproom staff.

This weekend we will have an ASL interpreter on hand to help us with this beer release and to take feedback for us to continue to improve.
